Mangrove Propagation along the Hoogly.

A network of scholars undertaking action research on Successful Methods of Mangrove Propagation along the Hoogly brainstormed on its merits and demerits. Dr Punarbasu Chowdhury and others embarked on this experiment from Sundari Ghat of Sea Explorers' Institute to Chandannagar Govt. College. Mr Uma Shankar Mondal of Purbasha, the leader of this experiment of throwing Mangrove seeds along the coast felt confident that despite the rains on the 18th of August, nature would have its way of regeneration if other factors of germination were found to be suitable.
